| * When I went on my Emmaus Weekend, I was so very blessed by the weekend and the talks. I sat at a table with seven strangers and by the end of the weekend, they had become my sisters-in-Christ. The friendships that were made on that weekend have been a lifeline to Jesus many times for me. The Lord took me, broke me, melted me and molded me into the vessel that he wanted to use for His service. I have become a willing servant for Jesus. Each time I work a weekend, I find that He still finds an area that needs to be changed for His Glory and I struggle to become more like Him in all I do. JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I ! |
| * My Emmaus weekend was an interesting experience. The talks were good, the food plentiful and filling but what impacted me the most was the overwhelming sense of Love. I had never had anyone hold the door for me while I went to the bathroom! Everywhere I turned there was a smiling face, and encouraging word or a friendly slap on the back. Men don't usually act this way towards other men. There was something different, these men had the love of Jesus bursting from their every pore. It was intoxicating to be around and I wanted to be a part of it. Jesus is wonderful in providing each of us just what we need to get us out of our ruts and into Serving him whole-heartedly. Jesus drew me close to Him through my Emmaus experience and keeps me there with the help of my Emmaus Brothers. |
